HOBSONVILLE POINT HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Establish Planning was engaged to provide the planning input required to prepare and lodge a resource consent application for the construction and subdivision of 68 residential units. The development site encompassed a Superlot and Megalot being part of the wider 167 hectare redevelopment of Hobsonville Point from a Royal New Zealand Air Force Base into a mixed use community.
APOLLO KINDERGARTEN, MAJOR TOM CAFÉ AND ANZOR FASTENERS
In collaboration with Design Architectural and Collingridge and Smith Architects, our team obtained various consents over the development site that now includes the Kindergarten, Major Tom Café and Anzor Fasteners Albany.

INTEGRATED HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Establish Planning was engaged to provide the planning input required to prepare and lodge a resource consent application for the construction and subdivision of 41 residential units across a 7,888sq.m development site in Point England. Once complete, the various typologies will cater for a mix of KiwiSaver, State and Owner Occupied homes.
This development sought consent to subdivide the site into four allotments around the two existing houses and create two new vacant sites. In addition, associated works such as the establishment of access, the installation of infrastructure, and earthwork consents were required.
This development, located south of Auckland, involved a number of consents including new buildings, stream works, earthworks, wastewater discharges, stormwater diversion and discharges, vegetation removal and alteration, and the creation of new vehicle access and parking.
PAPAMOA BEACH HOUSE
Our team successfully obtained resource consent for this high-end, residential beach house located on Papamoa Beach. Working closely with Herbst Architects, our Planners worked through complex design and servicing components which allows for some of the best views we've seen.
NEW HOUSE AND SUBDIVISION
Our team recently obtained a combined land use and subdivision consent for the construction of a new house and the subsequent creation of two freehold allotments around the existing house and the approved development. This allowed our clients to retain their existing home whist capitalising on the sites family living potential.
Often our clients have everything they need to succeed, they just require the resources and support to make strategic decisions. This current project on Aucklands North Shore is no different, and involves an integrated land use and subdivision consent to achieve four dwellings across the site.
WAREHOUSE AND OFFICE
We were recently engaged to prepare a Section 127 application relating to a warehouse and office development in Albany. Given that the original development was consented under the legacy North Shore City Plan, the proposed changes allowed our client to leverage the Auckland Unitary Plan parking ratios whilst also making minor design changes to the building.
SMARTLY DESIGNED BRICK-AND-TILE
Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate toilet and ample open-plan living are masterfully arranged on a tight 139sqm while remaining light and comfortable. In the kitchen-dining area, a subtly raised ceiling allows for a generous feeling of space.

MASSEY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
In collaboration with Chester Consultants, Establish Planning successfully amended the conditions of an existing resource consent. The reason for the amendment was that the applicant no longer considered double level dwellings to be appropriate to meet the current housing market in Massey. In order to provide housing typologies to suit the community needs, the applicant sought to amend the designs to be single-level standalone dwellings.
Establish Planning recently submitted a resource consent application to Auckland Council to develop a 1920sq.m. glasshouse, outdoor plant storage, warehousing, a two level office building and car parking spaces for 38 vehicles on a North Auckland site.
SAINT HELIERS RESIDENCE
In partnership with Maddren Homes, Establish successfully obtained an integrated land use and subdivision consent to construct a new house and then subdivide around the approved house and the existing to create two freehold allotments.
STANLEY POINT HOUSE & MINOR DWELLING
Resource consent was sought for a new dwelling and minor dwelling within the Single House zone and upon a site that was subject to the Historic Heritage and Special Character Overlay - Residential North Shore Devonport and Stanley Point. We enjoyed working with this client and the wider project team, and look forward to collaborating together on future projects.
FANTAILS CHILDCARE ESTATE
Clients often approach Establish with a general idea of what they need, and this project was no different. We were able to jump right in with our expertise, find a suitable site, undertake due-diligence and consent this centre on a non-notified basis. Today, their business is doing exceptionally well, and we’re proud to have been part of the process.
TE ATATU SOUTH SUBDIVISION
We've recently completed the preparation of an Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE), to subdivide around an approved land use consent. Once complete, each of the five houses approved under the land use consent will sit on their own title and will be able to be sold independantly from one and other, creating flexibility and value for the developer.
